I run IT for manufacturers - building a solid foundation, then stretching toward the factory of the future with AI and digital. Most of what I do at home is more hands-on using a wrench instead of a keyboard.
What I’ve been working on
- Factory Five MK5 RoadsterA ’65 Shelby Cobra replica. I’m building it in my shop.
- The shopMost metal fabrication and machining tools. I’m learning by making parts for the Cobra.
- 3D printingBambu P1S. I’m using the printer to learn CAD design as well as rapid prototyping for Cobra parts.
- Sim racingiRacing. Outside of on-track motorsports, this keeps the itch scratched. AI is helping me improve and helping my rig performance.
- KartingLeague nights at the local karting complex.
- Home labSeveral machines running various flavors of Linux. Media serving, home automation, and working on self-healing/auto-ticket resolution with AI.
- AII use it on everything above. More to come here - that’s the next piece being built out.
